Jewelry maintanence
In order for jewelry and beaded jewelry to last a long time and not lose their appearance, it is necessary to properly use and storage accessories. Below are the rules for the care of accessories:
- Jewelry must be removed when going to bed, showering, swimming in a pool or any contact with water. Also when going to the sauna or solarium. Water, sweat, heat can damage accessories.
- Remove jewelry when using creams, lotions, polishes, oils, makeup, and perfume. Chemicals can damage the surface of the jewelry, which can lead to oxidation and discoloration.
- Do not wear jewelry when doing housework or outdoor work, as well as when cooking. Chemicals, tools, rough ground can damage the surface of jewelry. Food residues can get into hard-to-clean areas of the product.
- Do not clean the products with chemicals or abrasives (toothpaste, soda or others). This may scratch the surface of the jewelry.
- Silver products have the tendency to oxidize. This can be induced by keeping silver next to gold products, not wearing it for a long time, sweat, chemicals, body care products getting on the product. Silver can be cleaned carefully with a silver napkin. Avoid any rough cleaning that may scratch or damage the surface.
- Unworn jewelry can oxidize over time. They should be cleaned with a cotton cloth or a special silver napkin.
- Store jewelry in boxes or plastic ziplock bags, preventing the products from touching each other. This will prevent scratching and the reaction of different metals with each other, which can affect the color change. Also, do not keep the products in the bathroom, as clothing can damage the jewelry.
- Try to avoid direct sunlight.
